Municipality launches “Baladia 139” app to enhance services and address public complaints
The Kuwait Municipality has launched a new mobile application, “Baladia 139,” designed to streamline municipal services and provide a direct communication channel between the public and municipal officials.
Speaking to KUNA, Mohammad Al-Sandan, Director of the Public Relations Department at the Municipality, said the app enables users to report violations and issues easily, ensuring faster response times and greater transparency.
According to Al-Sandan, the system prioritizes complaints based on severity, with response times ranging from four to 72 hours. Users can submit complaints by uploading photos of the violation along with the location details, after which municipal teams are dispatched to address the issue. Once resolved, users receive notifications — including photos — confirming the action taken.
The app also includes a monitoring feature to track the performance of inspectors, executives, and staff in managing complaints. It provides officials with real-time updates and monthly performance reports, allowing for better oversight and accountability.
Al-Sandan noted that the Municipality is committed to continuously updating and improving the Baladia 139 app to ensure smooth operation and enhance the quality of public service delivery.
